    Gary Foster Hallmark, age 66, of Henderson, KY, passed away at 12:57 PM, Monday, June 12, 2017, at the Lucy Smith King Care Center under the care of St. Anthony’s Hospice.

    Gary was a 1968 graduate from Henderson City High School. He joined the United States Marine Corp and served in Vietnam. Gary married Paula Priest, together they had 2 children. He loved to work outside. He enjoyed traveling, and always took his children on amazing vacations. He loved his dog Sarge, and entered him in the wiener dog races at Ellis Park for a number of years, he finished third one year. He was very efficient, neat and polished. Most of all he enjoyed spending his time with family and friends.

    Gary was preceded in death by his parents, Elanzo and Agnes Hallmark, and 1 brother, Lonnie Hallmark.

    Survivors include:

    Daughter: Wendy Renee Moats of Henderson, KY

    Son: Gary Brian Hallmark of Madisonville, KY

    2 Brothers: Randy Hallmark and Donnie Hallmark both of Henderson, KY

    7 Grandchildren: Taylor Moats, Sydney Schweikhard, Kennedy Moats, Ragan Moats, Austin Miskimen, Lauren Miskimen and Gwen Hallmark

    1 Great Grandson: Lawson Schweikhard

    A memorial service will be held at a later date.

    Paula was preceded in death by her mother, Alice Marie “Sissy” Wilson, and father, William Lewis Priest.
    Paula was born in Henderson, KY, and raised in Zion, KY. She attended Hebbardsville Elementary and was a graduate of Henderson County High School. She worked at River Valley Behavioral Health and enjoyed meeting and greeting patients. Paula loved fashion and shopping, not necessarily to buy, but just to be out hunting for that perfect bargain. She loved to travel and enjoyed spending time with her friends. She was small but mighty, and the kids knew when she meant business just by the expression on her face. Paula loved her little dog, Blueprint. Paula was sassy but classy, and had a zest for life.

    Relatives and friends are invited to Paula’s Life Celebration from 4:00-8:00 PM, Thursday, November 7, 2013 and again on Friday starting at 9:00 AM at Benton- Glunt Funeral Home. The funeral service will be held at 10:00 AM on Friday, November 8, 2013 with the Reverend Ted Burke officiating. Burial will follow at Roselawn Memorial Gardens in Henderson, KY.
    Expressions of sympathy may take the form of contributions to: Chapel Hill United Methodist Church Building Fund.
