    • Los Angeles Herald - November 15, 1907:

      TO HOLD INQUEST OVER SWITCHMAN'S BODY TODAY

      An inquest will be held this morning at 11 o'clock over the body of John Robert Ramsey, the man who was killed Wednesday afternoon when a Southern Pacific train left the track at Ninth and Alexander streets.

      Mr. Ramsey was a Southern Pacific switchman and leaves a wife and one child who reside in the family home, 443 South Sichel street.

      The funeral will be held Saturday at 1 o'clock under the auspices of the Switchmen's union at the chapel of John R. Paul.

      Interment will be in the I.O.O.F. cemetery.
