    • Dorothy R. Coffin, 80, of Terre Haute passed away at 7:10 a.m. Wednesday Feb. 28, 2007, in Union Hospital. She was born March 28, 1926, in Terre Haute. She retired as owner of Sycamore Bowl at Eighth and Poplar in 1990.

      She is survived by her loving husband of 60 years, Darrell, whom she married Feb. 14, 1947; her mother, Helen Favre; two daughters, Cindy Smith and her husband Robert of Bath, Ohio, and Linda Hudson and companion Gary Fowler of Terre Haute; a grandson, Bryan Hudson; a brother, Danny Favre and his wife Shirley; a cousin, Leo Akers of Tucson, Ariz.; and a host of nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her father Leo Favre.

      She was inducted into the Bowlers Hall of Fame, a past president of Purdue Homemakers Extension, TOPS Club and was active in many other charitable organizations. Special thanks to nephew Dr. Clifford E. Crawford for his loving care and kindness. She will be sadly missed by family, friends and community.

      Services are 2 p.m. Saturday at Callahan and Hughes Funeral Home, 605, S. 25th St., with the Rev. Jimmy Watson officiating. Burial will be in Roselawn Memorial Park. Visitation is 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday.Published on March 2, 2007
