    • Jr., Arno 'Tim' M. Timmerman 74 April 24, 1937 Feb. 01, 2012 Tim Timmerman passed away Feb. 1, seven weeks after a diagnosis of pancreatic cancer. He was born to Arno and Mildred Timmerman in Portland. In 1955 he graduated from Jefferson High School where he ran varsity track and cross country. He married Betty Eisenhauer and they had two boys, Charles "Chuck" and Robert. He was very proud both earned Eagle Scout. Tim was a scout leader and known for heading the "50-Mile Hikes" on the Pacific Crest Trail. After leaving Southern Pacific Railroad as an engineer, Tim became a Commercial Realtor. He and his life partner of over 35 years, Carol Spiering, owned and managed an apartment complex in Beaverton. Tim's interest in U.S. Pattern Coin Glass, made briefly in the late 1800's, led him to become the foremost authority on the glassware, and he assembled the country's most complete collection. His two books and DVD on the subject are in the Smithsonian Library. He is survived by Carol; son, Chuck; brother, Ron and wife, Gayle; and his grandsons, Casey Timmerman and his wife Andrea, and Joseph Timmerman. His son, Robert, predeceased him. He will be missed by all of his extended family. At Tim's request, no service will be held.
