    • Phyllis Jane Meyer, age 93, of Fort Wayne, formerly of Huntington, died at 1:50 p.m. Thursday, January 12, 2017 at The Heritage of Fort Wayne.

      Visitation will be from 3 - 7 p.m. Monday, January 16, 2017 at Bailey-Love Mortuary, 35 West Park Drive, Huntington. Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday, January 17, 2017 at Bailey-Love Mortuary with Rev. Richard Strick officiating. There will be one hour of visitation prior to the service. Burial will be in St. Peter’s First Cemetery in Huntington.

      Preferred memorials to St. Peter’s First Community Church in Huntington, in care of Bailey-Love Mortuary, 35 West Park Drive, Huntington, Indiana, 46750.

      Phyllis was born on September 18, 1923 in Huntington County, the daughter of Homer and Grace (Kilander) Biehl. She graduated from Huntington High School in 1941 and married Harold E. Meyer on October 4, 1941 in Huntington; he preceded her in death on October 31, 1997. She worked as a lab technician at Sealtest for 25 years. Phyllis was a member of St. Peter’s First Community Church and Decem et Pluris; she was Past President of Jaycees Wives. She served in the Hospital Guild and Elks Ladies.

      Survivors include a son, Steven K. (Gloria) Meyer of Fort Wayne and a sister, Jean Ann (Robert) Heiney of Huntington. She is preceded in death by her parents, husband, two brothers, George Biehl and Keith Biehl, a sister, Marilyn Geyer, a companion, Jack Paul, and grandson, Branden Meyer.
