    • Harvey Ray Mink, 89 of Pittsfield, IL passed away Tuesday, September 16, 2014 at his residence in Pittsfield. Harvey was born February 16, 1925 in Pittsfield, IL, a son of Harvey Jacob and Gertrude Gill Mink. He married Ruby Cresson and they have been married 66 years.

      Harvey was a veteran of the United States Navy and had worked for Pan Handle Pipeline for 33 1/2 years. He was a 50 plus year member of the United Methodist Church in Pittsfield, a 50 year member of Pittsfield Masonic Lodge #790 A.F. & A.M. Quincy Consistory serving as past secretary and past high priest. Harvey enjoyed hunting and fishing and was a "frequent flyer" at County Market.

      He is survived by his wife, Ruby, and a son, Harvey Mink, Jr. and wife, Carolyn, of Atlanta, GA; granddaughters, Vicky (Roger Martinez) Mink of Okinawa, Japan; Karen (Eric) Mink Todd of Sacramento, CA and four great grandchildren, Emily, Jacob, Lauren and Carolyn. Harvey was preceded in death by his parents and a daughter, Marilyn Elaine Mink on February 10, 2010.

      Funeral services be held at 2 p.m. on Saturday, September 20, 2014 at the Niebur Funeral Home in Pittsfield with Pastor Gary Dice officiating. Visitation will be held from 12-noon until 2 p.m. with Masonic services being held at 1:30 p.m., accorded by Pittsfield Masonic Lodge #790 A.F. & A.M. Interment will be in the Bethel Cemetery with military graveside honors accorded by Pittsfield American Legion Post #152 and Military Funeral Honor Guard.

      Memorials are suggested to be made to Bethel Cemetery. Condolences may be sent to the family at www.nieburfh.com. The Niebur Funeral Home in Pittsfield has been entrusted with the service.
