John P. Boes, age 68 of Kokomo, IN diedon March 2, 2007 at St. Joseph Hospital in Kokomo, IN. He was bornon December 8, 1938 in Tipton to Cecil and Elpha (Plake) Boes. John marriedSong Cha Yi in 1974 and she passed in 1996. He retired from the U.S. Army in 1982 after 29 years of active duty. Surviving are two sons, Tae Boes of San Diego, California and Jay Boes of Kokomo, Indianaalong with a grand daughter Lillian Boes. Also surviving is one brother Jack Boes of Tipton. John was preceded in deathby his wife, parents, a brother and two sisters. Funeral services will be held at 10 AM on March 7, 2007 at Porter Funeral Home in Tipton with Pastor Doug Slack officiating. Calling will be from 6-8 PM on the evening of March 6, 2007 at Porters. Intermentwill be at the Fairview Cemeteryin Tipton.
