"WORKMAN, Ethel Clayton (Age 85)

Passed away on March 2, 2009 at Mountain Meadows Care Facility in Walla Walla, Washington.

A private family interment will be held at Fairmont Cemetery in Spokane, Washington.

Ethel was born on April 8, 1923 in Spokane, Washington to Clayton and Beulah Gray Burgemaster. She attended Spokane area schools and graduated from Rogers High School in 1940. She also graduated from Eastern Washington University with a degree in elementary education. She married Melvin Ray Workman in Spokane, Washington.

Ethel enjoyed people, outdoors and nature, arts and crafts and playing dominos with friends. She was a warm compassionate and friendly woman. She was a teacher for 20 years.

Ethel is survived by a daughter and son-in-law, Lynn and Gerald Cummins of Walla Walla, WA; two sons and daughters-in-law, Paul and Joan Workman of New Iberia, LA and Keith and Debra Workman of Des Moines, WA; an aunt, Leona Gates of Spokane, WA; an uncle, Johnny and wife Janet Gray of Spokane, WA; eight grandchildren and numerous great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband, Melvin Workman in 2000.

Ethel married Melvin Raymond Workman 24 Sep 1942, Spokane, Spokane, Washington, USA. Melvin was born 6 Jul 1919, Frankford, Greenbrier, West Virginia, USA; died 18 Nov 2000, Wapato, Yakima, Washington, USA. [Group Sheet]
