    Candace Sue "Candy" Larese, 59, (formerly Candace Walker), of Jeannette, went to be with the Lord on Monday, Sept. 22, 2008. She was born Aug. 27, 1949, in Warsaw, Ind. She was preceded in death by her father, Frank Walker; mother, Janice (Snoke) Walker; and stepfather, Robert Walker. She graduated from Eastern Kentucky University, where she studied elementary education. She was formerly employed as an elementary school teacher in the Franklin Regional School District. Most recently, she was employed as a career employment specialist with the Private Industry Council of Westmoreland/Fayette counties, and assigned to the Team Pennsylvania Career Link in Youngwood. Candace was a former member of the Chesamac Garden Club, Greensburg, and was formerly actively involved with Pack 418 of the Boy Scouts of Westmoreland/Fayette Counties. She is survived by her son, Michael Larese and his wife, Suzanne, of Mooresville, N.C.; her daughter, Carrie Larese, of Jeannette; two grandchildren, Adam Lawrence and John Michael Larese; two brothers, Mike Walker and his wife, Star Lackavage, of Oliver Springs, Tenn., and Robert Walker and his wife, Kendra, of Hamilton, Ohio; and numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews. Candy will be dearly missed by everyone, including her close friends, Kathy Ward, of Greensburg, Becky Williams, of Jeannette, Luann Cortelyou, of Bovard, and Arlene Thompson, of Greensburg. Family and friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at the VAIA FUNERAL HOME INC., 463 Athena Drive, Delmont, PA 15626, 724-468-1177. Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday in the funeral home with Father Jacques Daley, OSB, of Excela Health Westmoreland Hospital, Greensburg, officiating.
