    AMLI, Virginia C. 95 of Dayton, passed away at 6:00 am Friday, December 29, 2017 at the Kettering Medical Center. She was born March 13, 1922 to Frank and Clara (Fraker) Eschbach, in Paulding, Ohio who both preceded her in death. She is survived by one sister, Annabelle Ishmael of Virginia Beach; two children, Marcia (Bill) Linklater, and Dave Amli; two grandchildren, Amy (Scott) Burns and Bill Linklater; and three great grandchildren; Isaac Burns, Colton Burns and Emma Burns. Two brothers, Robert and Lloyd Eschbach; and three sisters, Beatrice Allmandinger, Mary Jane Bebout, and Kathryn Yoder, also preceded her in death. Virginia graduated from Van Wert High School in 1941 and moved to Dayton to work at WPAFB. She met her husband, Harold who was an engineer at the base and married on April 28, 1945. They were married for over 60 years and he preceded her in death in 2006. Virginia was a member of Rolling Hills Garden Club for over 50 years, National T.T.T. Society, and Christ United Methodist Church for over 60 years whereby she utilized her many creative abilities to help raise money for church mission programs. The family will receive friends for visitation on Thursday, January 25 from 12:00-1:30pm followed with a service at 1:30 pm officiated by Lay Minister, Nancy Byrd, Christ United Methodist Church at the TOBIAS FUNERAL HOME Far Hills Chapel. Entombment will follow at Miami Valley Memory Gardens.     Mary J. Bebout, 89, of Van Wert, died at 3:35 p.m. Friday, March 27, 2015, at the Van Wert Area Inpatient Hospice Center.
    She was born September 1, 1925, in Paulding, the daughter of Frank and Clara (Fraker) Eschbach, who both preceded her in death. She married Gene L. Bebout, who died May 6, 1996.
    Survivors include four children, Steve E. (Marilyn) Bebout, Scott A. (Angie) Bebout and Connie S. Bebout, all of Van Wert, and Deborah J. Oliver of Greenville; a son-in-law, Randy Agler of Van Wert; two sisters, Virginia Amli of Dayton and Annabelle Ishmael of Virginia Beach, Virginia; seven grandchildren, Joshua Bricker, Jennifer Porter, Kristen Terhark, Brian Agler, Heather Prichard, Alyssa Bebout and Jaxon Bebout; and 10 great-grandchildren.
    A daughter, Joyce A. Agler; two brothers, Robert and Lloyd Eschbach; and two sisters, Beatrice Allmandinger and Kathryn Yoder, also preceded her in death.
    Mrs. Bebout worked for Van Wert City School District. She was a member of First United Methodist Church in Van Wert.
    Funeral services will be conducted at 10:30 a.m. Thursday, April 2, at Alspach-Gearhart Funeral Home & Crematory in Van Wert, with the Rev. Paul W. Miller officiating. Burial will be in Woodland Cemetery in Van Wert.
    Calling hours are from 4-8 p.m. Wednesday, April 1, at the funeral home.

    Kathryn A. “Kate” Yoder, 80, of Berne, Indiana passed away Thursday morning, August 7, 2008 at Adams Memorial Hospital.
    Kathryn was born on January 7, 1928 in Paulding, Ohio. The daughter of Frank and Clara (Frecker) Eschbach both deceased. She married Robert Yoder on February 7, 1948 and he preceded her in death in 1983.
    Kathryn was a member of the Cross United Church of Christ in Berne. She was a Sunday School, Mission band, and Catechism teacher as well as a member of the Women’s Group and the Dorcas Circle. She also served as a deaconess.
    Kathryn was an employee of the Ben Franklin Store in Berne for thirty years. She was also an employee at the Coffee Shop, Berne Hardware, and for twenty years operated the answering service for the Berne Police Department and the Berne Fire Department.
    Kathryn was a member of the Garden Club and helped initiate the “Garden” at Swiss Heritage. She was also a former member of the Berne Mother’s Club. Kathryn was an avid sports fan. She also was instrumental in helping start many civic projects in the community ,including the Cub Scouts, the City Swimming Pool, the Berne Kindergarten, and the Activities Department at Swiss Village.
    Katherine is survived by a son, Robert L. (Cyndy) Yoder of New Palestine, Indiana; a son, Chris (Rhea Ann) Yoder of Berne, Indiana; a son, Greg Yoder of Lafayette, Indiana; and a daughter, Susan Yoder of Berne, Indiana; six grandchildren, Jeremy Yoder, Todd (Susan) Yoder, Alisha Beard, Nick Yoder, Michael Yoder, and Holly Yoder; and five great-grandchildren, Gavin Pelfry, Isaac Pelfry, Iyana Beard, Lily Kathryn Yoder, and Luke Yoder. Other survivors include a sister, Virginia Amli of Dayton, Ohio; a sister, Mary Jane Bebout of Van Wert, Ohio; and a sister, Billie Ishmael of Virginia Beach, Virginia.
    Kathryn was preceded in death by a son, Jeffroy Yoder; a brother, Robert Eschbach; a brother, Lloyd Eschbach; and a sister, Bea Allmindinger.
    Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Monday, August 11, 2008 in the First Missionary Church in Berne, Indiana with the Rev. George Krestik and Michael Yoder officiating. Interment will follow in the M.R.E. Cemetery,Berne.
    Friends will be received from 2:00 – 8:00 p.m. Sunday, August 10, 2008 in the Yager-Kirchhofer Funeral Home in Berne and one hour prior to the service at the church on Monday.
    Preferred memorials are to the Cross United Church of Christ.

Born July 26, 1941, in Decatur, she was an active member of Peace Lutheran Church and was the Treasurer of the Women's guild for many years. She was Co-Owner with her Husband, Lowell for Zelt Insurance Agency for 26 years.

    Surviving are her husband, Lowell Zelt of Fort Wayne; son, Gregory Zelt of Fort Wayne; daughter, Christine (Mark) Pletcher of Denver, Colo.; sisters, Helen Ries of Van Wert, Ohio and Nancy Klopfenstein of Harlan; and mother, Beatrice Allmandinger of Glenmore, Ohio.

    Funeral service is 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at Peace Lutheran Church, 4900 Fairfield Ave., with visitation one hour prior to service.     OHIO CITY a?" Mary Helen Ries of Ohio City died at 1:12 p.m. Monday, June 5, 2017, at Van Wert County Hospital.
    She was born May 31, 1944, in Van Wert to Beatrice C. (Eschbach) Allmandinger and Martin W. Allmandinger, both who preceded her in death.
    Survivors include her children, Tim (Susan) Ries of Dyersburg, Tennessee, and Thom (Cindy) Ries of Lewis Center, Ohio; brother, Randy (Diann) Humerickhouse of Fort Wayne, Indiana; brother-in-law, Lowell Zelt; sister, Nancy (Jim) Klopfenstein of Harlan, Indiana; and grandchildren, Jacob, Reba and Martin Ries, and Huey and Hogan Ries.
    She was also preceded in death by her sister, Josephine Zelt.
    Mary retired from Eaton Corporation in Van Wert and had also worked at Fettig's Flowers in Van Wert.
    She was a member of the Ohio City Church of God and was very active with the Ohio City Food Pantry. Mary was a true blessing from God to all of us. A wonderful woman who touched so many lives, none more so than her family.
    Visitation will be 2-8 p.m. Friday, June 9, at Alspach-Gearhart Funeral Home & Crematory, Van Wert, and one hour prior to services Saturday at the church.
    Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday, June 10, at Ohio City Church of God, Ohio City. The Rev. Randy Bevington will officiate.
    Preferred memorials are to Ohio City Fire & EMS, Ohio City Food Pantry, Ohio City Church of God or Ohio City Community Foundation.
