Christine E. (Jacoby) Scher, 61, of Huntington, IN, died Sept. 24, 2018, at Oakbrook Village in Huntington.

Mrs. Scher was a 1975 graduate of Huntington North High School. She was a Mary Kay consultant and worked with special needs children at Huntington North High School. She was a member of SS. Peter & Paul Catholic Church in Huntington. She was also a member of Job’s Daughters.
She was born May 9, 1957, in Huntington to William and Evelyn Goodrich Plasterer. Her first husband, Allen Jacoby, preceded her in death. She married Sam Scher on April 27, 1991, and he survives in Huntington.
Additional survivors are two sons, Joshua Jacoby and Daniel (Sara) Scher, both of Huntington; a daughter, Bethany Biddle, of Jacksonville, NC; a stepson, Scott Jacoby; three brothers, William (Nan) Plasterer and Robert Plasterer, of Huntington, and Edward (Teresa) Plasterer, of Warren; a sister, Amanda (Wes) Hosier, of Huntington; and five grandchildren.
Calling is Thursday, Sept., 27, 2018, from 3 p.m. to 7 p.m. at McElhaney–Hart Funeral Home 715 N. Jefferson St. Huntington. Additional calling will be Friday, Sept. 28, 2018, for one hour prior to the 10 a.m. Mass of Christian Burial at SS. Peter & Paul Catholic Church, 860 Cherry St., Huntington. Recitation of the rosary will be at 9:40 a.m. Burial will be in Union Cemetery, Huntington, IN.
