Olive L. Windler, 95, died at 4 p.m., Thursday, October 25, 2012, in IU Health Arnett Hospital.

She had been in the hospital since Monday, October 22, 2012. Olive was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church. She loved playing cards, bingo, dancing, social activities, and her grandkids, whom she affectionately called "her kids".

Olive had recently moved to the Green Hill Manor Nursing Home in Fowler. She was born in English, Indiana, on June 27, 1917. She was married to Vernon J. Windler of Fowler for over 50 years. Vernon and Olive had four children, Karen, Joyce, Brenda, and Joseph, who all pre-deceased her.

Surviving are her son-in-law, Rick Kirkham; and her daughter-in-law, Vickey Windler and her 7 grandchildren; Greg Kirkham, Paul Kirkham, Krista (Kirkham) Beem, Jodie (Windler) Dahm, Kasey (Windler) Riley, Tiffany (Windler) Oilar, and Kylie Windler. Olive also was the proud great-grandmother of 11 great-grandchildren.

The viewing for Olive will be on Monday, October 29, 2012, from 10 a.m. to noon at the Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Fowler. Her funeral service will follow the viewing at noon, also at Sacred Heart Catholic Church. Interment will be in Sacred Heart Cemetery. The family suggests memorial contributions be made to either Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Fowler, or to the American Cancer Society, in lieu of flowers.
