She is the beloved sister of Robert (Mary) Wirth, Diane Wirth, and the late Thomas (Annette) Wirth; beloved aunt of Scott Wirth and Paul (Nicole) Wirth, and is further survived by other friends and relatives.     Ruby Roberta Mink, 91, of Pittsfield, IL passed away Sunday, October 1, 2017 at Liberty Village in Pittsfield, IL. Ruby was born on August 11, 1926 in Milton, IL, daughter of Robert and Alfreada Tucker Cresson. One of seven children, she was preceded in death by four brothers; Arthur, Robert, Alfred, and Phil, and two sisters; Charlotte and Margret.

    Ruby married Harvey Ray Mink of Pittsfield and was married 66 years until his death on September 16, 2014. She had two children, Marilyn E. Mink, who passed on February 10, 2010, and is survived by her son, Harvey R. Mink, Jr. (wife Carolyn). Ruby has two granddaughters and five great grandchildren.

    Ruby attended her first 12 years of school in Griggsville, IL. She graduated in 1944 with an astounding consecutive 12-year record of perfect attendance. After graduating from Gem City Business College in Quincy during 1945, she worked as a secretary for the Illinois Veterans Commission for three years. After marrying Harvey, she worked as a homemaker for the rest of her life.

    Ruby was very interested in genealogy and proud of her ancestors who had served her country. She was a member of the Daughters of the American Revolution (DAR). In addition to an ancestor in the Revolutionary War, Ruby's great-great-grandfather served in the War of 1812; and her grandfather, Robert Cresson, served in the Union Army in the Civil War.

    Ruby loved animals. At one time, she had lots of pet goats. She particularly loved dogs and has had at least one pet poodle for each of the past 59 years.

    Graveside services will be held Thursday, October 5, 2017 at 1:00 PM at Bethel Cemetery near Detroit with Pastor Gary Dice officiating. There will be a visitation Thursday, October 5, 2017 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Niebur Funeral Home in Pittsfield. Memorials are suggested to Bethel Cemetery. Online condolences may be sent to the family at www.nieburfh.com. Niebur Funeral Home has been entrusted with the service.

    Marilyn Elaine Mink, age 59, of Henderson, Nevada and formerly of Springfield, Il. and Pittsfield, Il. died Wednesday evening (February 10, 2010) at Odyssey Healthcare in Las Vegas, Nevada. She was born February 8, 1951 in Pittsfield, Il. daughter of Harvey Ray and Ruby R. Cresson Mink. She married James Herrick in 1980 and later divorced.

    Surviving are her parents, Harvey Ray and Ruby Mink of Pittsfield, Il.; a brother, Harvey Mink, Jr. and wife Carolyn of Atlanta, Georgia; two nieces, Vicky Mink and Karen Mink Todd and husband Eric both of California; and two special cousins, Carolyn Waite Bojarra and Charles Avery Ottwell. She was preceded in death by her aunts and uncles.

    She attended and graduated from Pittsfield schools. She played the trombone in the Pittsfield band and was sponsored by the American Legion Auxiliary to attend Girls State. She graduated from the University of Illinois and was employed during the summers at various state offices in Springfield. After working at St. John's Hospital in Springfield for several years, she attended Lincoln Land College in Springfield and earned her degree to become a registered nurse. She worked in the emergency room at St. John's Hospital for a while before taking a position in Las Vegas with the Nevada County Prompt Care System as a registered nurse for over ten years, an occupation which she loved.

    Services were entrusted to Airsman-Hires Funeral Home of Pittsfield, Illinois.
