    • ROSETTA HEAVNER
      BETHALTO — Rosetta Evelyn Heavner, 87, passed away at 9:45 p.m., Friday, March 9, 2018 at Eunice Smith Nursing Home in Alton.
      Born in Nebo on Jan. 28, 1931, she was the daughter of John and Clara (Martin) Booth.
      Rosetta had been a Realtor with Landmark Realty for 40 years before retiring in 2013.
      She enjoyed life and spent much of it tirelessly helping others. She loved her church and countless friends, but most of all, her family.
      She will be missed, but her legacy lives on through all who were blessed to know and love her.
      On June 11, 1949, in Pittsfield, she married Jess E. Heavner. He died June 13, 2011.
      Surviving are a son, Greg Heavner (Judy Bryant) of Bethalto; daughter and best friend, Gwen (Tom) Baird of Glen Carbon; five grandchildren, Lyndsey (Jack) Valin, Amber Heavner, Matthew, Meredith and Mitchell Baird; five great-grandchildren; and two sisters, Dorlean Zumwalt of Auburn, Wauneta Booth of Bethalto.
      Her parents; husband and two brothers, Ervin and Len Booth preceded in death.
      Visitation will be from 4-8 p.m. Sunday at 1st Christian Church in Bethalto, where services will be conducted at 10 a.m. Monday. Pastor Tony Jackson will officiate.
      Burial will follow in Rose Lawn Memory Gardens in Bethalto.
      Memorials may be made to the Boys and Girls Basketball programs at Civic Memorial High School.
