    • Saturday, May 9, 1914, The Quincy Daily Journal
David Burbridge, a prominent young farmer, who resided south of town, on the Petty farm, died Friday morning from the effects of a dose of arsenic, which he took Thursday evening as it is supposed with suicidal intent. He was 33 years of age, the son of Robert Burbridge, a prominent citizen of the county. He had been in poor health for several months and it is believed that his suffering had in part led to mental derangement as his business affairs were in good condition. The funeral was held at the residence on Friday afternoon.
