    • Jack H. Carlile, 82 years of Grove City, OH., died Wednesday, August 4, 2010 at his residence.

      He was born September 13, 1927 in Seminole, OK., the son of the late Hollis Buehle and Clara Belle Pope Carlile.

      Jack was a member of the Auburn United Methodist Church, served his country in the US Navy during W.W. II, retired from the USPS Twin Rivers Drive Office in Columbus, OH. After his retirement Jack owned and operated Jack's Junque Shop near New Vienna for several years.

      On October 4, 1958 he was united in marriage to Earlene West Carlile who preceded him in death on June 26, 2010. He is survived by one daughter and son-in-law, Linda and Tom O'Brien of Grove City, two grandchildren, Erin Bryan Althaus of Grove City and Thomas P. O'Brien III of Grove City, one brother and sister-in-law, Hollis B. and Jacqueline Carlile of Bakersfield, CA., two sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law, Lulu and James Grove of Hillsboro, Deanna and George Durham of FL. numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and a host of friends.

      Memorial Graveside Service will be held 2:00 P.M. Monday, August 9, 2010 at the Auburn Cemetery, 10269 Careytown Road, New Vienna, OH. 45159 with Pastor Mary Cyrus officiating.

      The Thompson Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
