    • Joseph C. Chambers, Jr., 58, of Lewisberry and formerly of Steelton, died Wednesday, February 5, 2014 in Holy Spirit Hospital.

      He was a former electrician for Heim Electric, Harrisburg, a graduate of Steelton-Highspire High School Class of 1973, a member of the Western Sportsmen Club and had been an active Cub Scout and Eagle Boy Scout. He was an avid hunter, fisherman and enjoyed camping, wildlife and the outdoors. He was a former member of St. James Roman Catholic Church, Steelton.

      Joe was the son of the late Joseph C. Chambers, Sr. and Virginia Vucenic Chambers and is survived by his loving wife of 32 years, Linda S. Walters Chambers; two sisters, Kathy Marsh and her husband, Jim of Hummelstown and Mary Chambers-O'Donnell and her husband, Tim of Halifax; a sister-in-law, Diane Granoff and her husband, Steve of Camp Hill; brothers-in-law, Jeffrey Walters, Donald Walters and his wife, Cheryl, Terry Walters and his wife, Carol and Jack Walters and his wife, Jan; and numerous nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins.

      Memorial Services will be held on Wednesday, February 12, 2014 at 2:00 pm in Wiedeman Funeral Home, 357 S. Second St., Steelton with Rev. Raymond J. LaVoie, Prince of Peace Parish, officiating. A visitation will be held on Wednesday from 12 Noon until 2:00 pm in the funeral home. Burial will be private.

      In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Humane Society of Greater Harrisburg, 7790 Grayson Rd., Harrisburg, PA 17111 or any charity for wildlife conservation.
