    • Paul Gerald Brewer 64, died Tuesday, December 8, 2009, in his home after a prolonged battle with heart disease. Paul was born in Indianapolis on June 21, 1945, to Mae Aileen (Winkler) and Paul Grester Brewer. He was a graduate of Indiana University and an Air Force veteran, winning the coveted Airman of the Month award during his time of service. He was a dedicated and active Mason, serving Mystic Tie Lodge #398 as Worshipful Master and past patron of the Queen Esther Chapter #3 Order of the Eastern Star. He was also a member of The Indianapolis Valley of the Scottish Rite, Murat Shrine, Legion of Honor, Gatling Gun Club, and served as past president of both the Indianapolis and International Shrine Horse Patrols. Paul was preceded in death by his parents; and stepfather, Curtis Freeland. He is survived by his wife of 37 years, Jane (Humbarger); four children, Natasha (Ryan) Mikus, Ty, Alexander (Jennifer), and Nicholas (Ruth) Brewer; two grandchildren, Abigail Mikus and Adam Brewer; brother, Thomas (Anita) Brewer; and sister, Isabelle (Tom) Black. Services will be at 10:00 a.m., Friday, December 11, 2009, at Wilson St. Pierre Funeral Service & Crematory, Southport Chapel. Friends may call from 4:00-8:00 p.m. this evening. Memorial contributions may be made to the Indiana Masonic Home Foundation, P.O. Box 44210, Indianapolis, Indiana 46224-0210, or the Shriner's Hospital for Children, 2211 N.
