    • CIMARRON - Brice J. Ramsay, 86, died Tuesday, March 30, 2010 at Western Plains Medical Complex, Dodge City. He was born on June 24, 1923 at Fredonia the son of Burke and Lois (Timmons) Ramsay.

      Brice served in the US Airforce during WWII where he was stationed in China. After returning home he attended college in Weatherford, Oklahoma. In 1948 he moved to Cimarron where he owned a watch and clock repair business. On June 5, 1949 he married Margaret Gibson at Haysville.

      He was a member of United Methodist Church of Cimarron.

      Brice is survived by his wife, Margaret Ramsay of Cimarron; a son, Douglas Ramsay & wife Vicky of Alexander, Minnesota; three daughters, Diane Krayenhagen of Lawrence, Linda Allen and husband Mike of Garden City and Cheryl Gindlesberger of Greenwood, Arkansas; three brothers, Clayton Ramsay, Dwight Ramsay and wife Marilyn and Wayne Ramsay and wife Vera; a sister, Naomi Mellen and husband Lyle; 11 grandchildren and 16 great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.

      Funeral service will be held at Cimarron United Methodist Church on Friday, April 2, 2010 at 2:00 PM with Rev. Kent Little presiding. Burial will follow at Cimarron Cemetery in Cimarron with military rites by Howard Gotschall Post #1714, V.F.W.. Visitation will be at Swaim Funeral Chapel, Cimarron on Thursday, April 1, 2010 from Noon to 8:00 PM. Memorials can be made to Cimarron United Methodist Church or Cimarron Golf Club both in care of Swaim Funeral Home, 1901 6th Ave, Dodge City, KS.
