    • James S. Fenker, 78, passed away Monday, August 18, 2014. Born in Fort Wayne, James was a retired sheet metal journeyman with Local 20. He was a member of St. Vincent dePaul Catholic Church, Knights of Columbus, and was a Korean War Navy veteran. James enjoyed the outdoors, hunting, archery, and carpentry. He was a devoted and prayerful man that loved God and family. James and his wife lead a weekly prayer cenacle for 23 years. Surviving are his wife of 56 years, Diana Fenker of Fort Wayne; children, Jeffrey (Lucinda) Fenker of Fort Wayne, Connie (Rick) Stout of Huntertown, Gregory Fenker of Fort Wayne, and Stacie (Scott) Kreiger of Fort Wayne; brother, Joseph Fenker of Wolcottville; 12 grandchildren; and 3 great-grandchildren. James was preceded in death by his parents, Joseph and Armella Fenker; brothers, Robert and Richard Fenker; and sisters, Carol Fenker and Jane Bero. Mass of Christian Burial is 10:30 am Friday at St. Vincent dePaul Catholic Church, 1502 E. Wallen Rd. with calling 1 hour prior. Calling also 2 to 5 and 7 to 9 pm Thursday at D.O. McComb & Sons Pine Valley Park Funeral Home, 1320 E. Dupont Rd. with a Vigil service at 7 pm. Entombment in Highland Park Cemetery.
