    • BERNARDINE M. KOCH, 90, died Tuesday, June 5, 2007, at Defiance Inpatient Hospice, Defiance. She was born on April 18, 1917, in Fort Wayne. Surviving are her children, Brendan (Peggy) Koch of Parma, Ohio, Jerome (Marlene) Koch of Huntsville, Ala. and Rita Phillips of Costa Mesa, Calif.; siblings, Annette Imm of College Station, Texas, Armella (Frank) Scott of Olympia, Wash, Catherine (Don) Scharlach of Hendersonville, N.C., Kenneth (Helen) Nix of Davenport, Iowa, Pauline (Don) Baker, Zeno (Helen) Nix, and Eugene (Joan) Nix, all of Fort Wayne; six grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, John W. Koch; siblings, Lorena Bugbee and Thomas Nix. Funeral service is 10 a.m. Tuesday at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, Payne. Visitation is from 2 to 9 p.m. Monday at Den Herder Funeral Home, 1000 W. Wayne St., Paulding, with Rosary service at 8 p.m. Monday. Burial in St. John the Baptist Catholic Church Cemetery, Payne.
