      Catherine L. Meyer, 81, Huntington, IN, died on Thursday July 5, 2007 at 2:25 PM at Markle Health Care in Markle, IN.

      She was born April 7, 1926 in Huntington County, IN to Marion Eugene and Clara Caley Holley. Her parents preceded her in death. Her marriage was to Richard J. Meyer on August 26, 1944, Mr. Meyer preceded her in death January 18, 1989.

      She was a former salesperson at K-Mart in Huntington, IN. Mrs. Meyer was a member of SS Peter and Paul Catholic Church, the Order of Secular Franciscans, Widows of Prayer and the Rosary Sodality.

      Survivors include 2 sons: Robert W. Meyer, Huntington, IN; William D. Meyer, Marion, IN and 2 daughters: Mrs. Dan (Jackie) Shaffer, Huntington, IN and Sr. Charita Meyer O.S. F. Lafayette, IN. 8 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren. 1 Sister: Wilma Hartley, Huntington, IN.

      Preceded in death by an infant brother, Billy Gene Holley.

      Calling will be Sunday, July 8, 2007 from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 PM at McElhaney-Hart Funeral Home, 715 N. Jefferson St., Huntington, IN with the recitation of the rosary at 6:00 PM. followed by calling.

      Mass of Christian Burial will be on Monday, July 9, 2007 at 10:00 AM at SS. Peter and Paul Catholic Church, 860 Cherry Street, Huntington, IN with Father John Guimond officiating.

      Burial will be in Mt. Calvary Cemetery, Huntington, IN.

      In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to SS Peter and Paul Catholic Church or to Huntington Catholic School in care of McElhaney-Hart funeral Home, 715 N. Jefferson Street, Huntington, IN.
