- Ted E. Hollen, 77, of Hot Springs Village, passed away Aug. 11, 2014. He was born Sept. 18, 1936 in Wellington, Ill., to Clovis and Nettye Hollen.
Ted retired from the U.S. Air Force as a master sergeant with more than 20 years of service. He obtained a master’s degree in education and went on to teach for many years. He was a sweet, funny, simple man who loved to be a jokester. Ted enjoyed the outdoors and being a devoted family man.
He was predeceased by his father and sister, Toni Allison. Ted is survived by his loving wife, Barbara Hollen of Hot Springs Village; mother, Nettye Downhour of Plant City, Fla.; son, Ted E. Hollen Jr. (Debbie) of New Jersey; daughter, Cindy Russell (Al) of Hot Springs Village and Cydnie Mason (Jim) of Indiana; brother, Greg Hollen (Carol) of Indiana; grandchildren, Shawn Hall, Dayton Tuper and Angela Hooker; and four greatgrandchildren.
