History of the Funks
We will start with John Funk (b. Abt 1836, d. Unk). He was supposedly from Cumberland County, Pennsylvania. You can see the county on the bottom of this circa 1830s map below in pink.
John married Susan Kuhns (b. 5 Apr 1836, d. 24 Apr 1919) and had 2 children:
Margaret Ellen Funk (b. 16 May 1856, d. 26 Apr 1946)
Benjamin Franklin Funk (b. 1 Oct 1858, d. 9 Sep 1934)
