- Kenneth M. Meyer, 90, of Huntington, IN, died Monday, July 29, 2013, at 4:30 a.m. at his home.
Mr. Meyer graduated from SS. Peter and Paul Catholic School in 1941 and served in the United States Army Air Corps during World War II. He worked as a printer at Our Sunday Visitor for 36 years, retiring in 1985.
He was a member of SS. Peter and Paul Catholic Church and associated with St. Mary Catholic Church. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus and the American Legion in North Webster.
He was born Feb. 6, 1923, in Huntington County to Carl and Rosa Karst Meyer. He married Mary Margaret Driscoll on Oct. 28, 1950, at St. Mary Catholic Church. His wife survives.
Additional survivors include three sons, Alan (Letty) Meyer, of Fort Wayne; Stan Meyer, of Huntington; and Dennis (Margaret) Meyer, of North Webster; two daughters, Diane (Mark) Smith, of Verona, WI, and Cindy (Bob) McKay, of Huntington; a sister, Marlene Call, of Owosso, MI; 11 grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren.
Calling is Wednesday, July 31, 2013, from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. and 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Deal-Rice Funeral Home, Huntington Chapel, 338 E. Washington St., Huntington. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Thursday, Aug. 1, 2013, at 10 a.m. at SS. Peter and Paul Catholic Church, with Rev. Ron Rieder officiating. Burial will be at Mt. Calvary Cemetery, Huntington.
