Actor in theatre, screen and television, died peacefully on November 21, 2004, at Hollywood Presbyterian Hospital. He had recently turned 88. Born in Rye, NY on October 23, 1916, Bob was one of four children in a family of actors famous among the Algonquin Round Table. Bob's father, William Courtleigh, was instrumental in creating Equity, the actor's union. Bob is survived by his daughter, Pamela Courtleigh of Rockport, MA and stepson Greg Greenfield of Santa Monica, CA. Bob's beloved wife, Gretchen, died in February, 2004. A gathering of friends to celebrate the lives of both Gretchen and Bob will be held Friday December 3rd at their residence from 2 to 5pm.
