    • Suzy Boes, age 59 of Windfall, IN, passed away on Monday July 20, 2015 at her home in Windfall. She was born on February 14, 1956 in Tipton to Jack and Dorothy (Bevel) Boes.

      Suzy was a graduate of the Class of 1974 at Tipton High School. She was very active in the school band where she played the drums. Her love of music carried over into her adult life where she was active with the Tipton Community Band for many years. In 1984 Suzy left Tipton and moved to Arizona, she went to work as a corrections officer for the Arizona State Department of Corrections. When her mother fell ill in 1991, Suzy returned to Tipton and began working at Porter Ambulance as a EMT. In 1994 she moved to Hamilton County and joined the Hamilton County Sheriff’s Department working as a jailer. One of her greatest joys was spending time with her family and friends.

      Suzy is survived by a step mother, Joann Boes of Tipton and her daughter, Myndi Boes of Goldsmith. Suzy is also survived by her sisters; Kathy Bufton of Tucson, Arizona, Jennifer Boes of Tipton and her brother, Jack (Abida) Boes Jr. of Ottawa, Canada. Several nieces and nephews also survive.

      Suzy was preceded in death by her parents Jack and Dorothy Boes.

      The family is planning a Celebration of Life service at a later date, her obituary will be updated at porterfh.com when these services are finalized.
