    • DONALD G. LINDSEY FT. MYERS BEACH, FL FORMERLY PORTAGE, IN

      Donald G. Lindsey, age 76 of Fort Myers Beach, FL, formerly of Portage, IN, passed away on October 26, 2012. Don was born on November 13, 1935 to Dessie (Wininger) Lindsey and Zelbert Lindsey of French Lick, IN. Don graduated from French Lick High School. Don proudly served in the United States Army. Don also attended the Indiana University Law Enforcement Academy. Don had a long and successful career in Law Enforcement including Portage Police Department, U.S. Marshall Service and Porter County Sheriff Department. Don was an active member with the Fraternal Order of Police and the American Legion. Don will be deeply missed by his children: Donella Lindsey of Hobart, Marcella (Tim) Kunstek of Portage, David (Dawn) Lindsey of Portage and Scott Lindsey of Fort Myers Beach, FL. Don was a loving grandfather to Katelyn and Hannah Lindsey, Noah and Nathan Kunstek. Don Lindsey (Unit 11) moved to Fort Myers, FL 12 years ago and commonly referred to his new home as 'Paradise'. Don will be missed dearly by all who knew and loved him. The family upon Don's wishes will hold a private remembrance and celebration of a life well lived in Fort Myers Beach, FL. Memorial contributions may be made in Don Lindsey's loving memory to Hope Hospice of Fort Myers, 9470 Health Park Circle, Fort Myers, FL 33908.
