- Scott F. Thornbury of South Elgin Funeral services for Scott F. Thornbury, 36, will begin at 9 a.m. Wednesday, at Malone Funeral Home, 324 E. State St. (Route 38), Geneva and continue with Mass at 10 a.m., at St. Patrick Mission Church, 6N491 Crane Road, St. Charles. Fr. Carl Beekman celebrant. Born Aug. 30, 1966, in Flint, Mich., the son of William and Mary (nee Klinker) Thornbury, he passed away Sunday, Nov. 3, 2002, at his home surrounded by his family. Burial will be in Prairie Cemetery, St. Charles Township. Scott was a 1988 graduate of Purdue University where he was a member of Sigma Pi Fraternity. He was also a member of St. Patrick Catholic Church. Scott was an account manager at Pitney Bowes in Chicago. He is survived by his wife, Sara (nee Roush); sons, Alec and Nicholas; his parents of Huntley; brothers, Brad (Barbara) of Warrenville and Ted of Huntley; paternal grandmother, Elizabeth Thornbury of St. Charles; and mother- and father-in-law, Joyce and Ken Roush of Glen Ellyn. He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Fred and Ottilia Klinker; and paternal grandfather, John Thornbury. Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. today, at the funeral home.
